How Do I Get a Library Card?

You’ll need a library card to borrow items. Come to the library to get a free card or apply online.

Wolcott Residents:  Bring identification, a photo I.D. with your name and permanent Wolcott address, such as a driver’s license, or a picture I.D. with your name and a piece of mail with your name and address (electric bill, telephone bill, etc.) for proof of residency.  You must present your library card to borrow items. You are responsible for all items checked out on your card. There is a $3.00 fee for replacing a lost card.

If you do not live in Wolcott you can get your library card from your hometown library and then you can use it at any public library in the state.

Institutional Library Cards:  An institutional library card will be issued free of charge to any daycare center, group home or other institution with offices in Wolcott.  A request for an institutional card must be made in writing on official letterhead and be signed by the officer who will assume responsibility for paying fines, replacement charges and other financial assessments levied against the card.   The application for the institutional card must also be signed by the officer.   The card will be issued in the name of the institution and will be kept on file at the library.  The card is for use at the Wolcott Public Library only.
