The Friends of the Wolcott Public Library are a great asset to the library and the community. We would not be able to offer many of the programs and services that we do, nor would we have many of the materials we are able to provide if not for the Friends.
Here are some of the many things the Friends have done and continue to do for the library…
Books for Babies
The Friends commissioned three murals in the downstairs meeting room that depict historic landmarks, the history of Wolcott, and the State of Connecticut They also commissioned the forest mural in entrance to the children’s room. The murals were painted by Wolcott resident, Deborah Weik.
In an effort to beautify the library, the Friends fund and donate their time landscaping the library’s exterior.
