Book Sales and Donation Guidelines

FRIENDS OF THE WOLCOTT PUBLIC LIBRARY
BOOK DONATION GUIDELINES

In order to raise money for the library, book sales are held by the Friends each Spring and Fall.

The Friends appreciate your support of our fundraising activities. Proceeds from the book sales go back to the library to fund programs and events and to make purchases not covered by the library’s budget.

You can drop off items at the library’s main circulation desk during the week, up to one hour before closing. If you have a large number of donations, please call the circulation desk at 203-879-8110 and make arrangements for a staff member to meet you in the library’s lower level. One month prior to our sales, we will begin to accept donations on Saturdays with one special collection day reserved when we will have volunteers to assist you on the lower level.

The library assumes ownership over donations and may add a donated book to its collection as it sees fit. The remainder of the donations will be stored for the next sale.
