Advanced Programs

Introduction to 3D Printing

Monday, August 19

4:30 – 5:00 PM

A 3D printer melts and layers plastic filament to build an object. You can make your own design using CAD (computer-aided design) with certain websites or software, or you can print a design that someone else has published.

Through this program, you’ll learn what 3D printing is, how it works, and how to design or find objects to print. After the program, you can print your design using the Wolcott Public Library’s 3D printer!

We recommend this program to those who are comfortable using a computer and the Internet.
