Children’s Summer Reading 2026

• Log the minutes you read
• Earn beads & raffle tickets for every page you fill
• Attend programs & do bonus activities to earn more beads & raffle tickets
• Earn a leaf for your school’s vine for every 100 minutes you read

Bead Point System: 10 minutes = 1 point

• 1 point = regular bead
• 2 points = cool bead (glow or sparkle)
• 5 points = big / shaped beads, letters
• 10 points = brag tags & charms
• Attend a Library Event = 1 limited-edition bead & 1 raffle ticket
• Summer Math = 10 min = 1 point (same as reading)

We have five different summer reading topics for your child to choose from!

• Ocean
• Dinosaurs
• Things that Go
• Princesses
• Space

Once your child picks the topic that interests them the most, ask your librarian for the corresponding bag. Each bag contains instructions and materials for a full week of themes activities that you can complete at home to support your child’s development, focus on fine motor, sorting skills, and more. There is also a themed book list to go with your packets.

When you complete 3 bucket lists, your child will earn a small bucket of prizes!
