Sue Ouellette
One of the things I enjoy most about my job is the opportunity to connect with patrons. Without them, there would be no Library. The chance to assist and help people in so many ways is very fulfilling. Also what could be better than coming to work and being surrounded by books? My love of books has served me well at the Library.

Children’s Department
I am a lifelong Wolcott resident, and I love working in my hometown library. I love putting books into children’s hands and helping them develop a love of reading and learning- especially reluctant readers. I believe everybody is a reader if you can get them the right book!

David Jayne
Technical Services
I enjoy working with patrons to help them accomplish their goals. From finding a specific item in the library to helping them sign up for a vaccine appointment to fixing a setting on their cell phone, I’m able to solve many problems and help anyone who visits.

One of my favorite things about this job is that every day is unexpected. One minute I am helping someone find legal documents, and the next I am finding someone walking trails. I love our library’s yard in particular- not every library has one, and I hope we can someday turn it into a garden lounge! My favorite sections of the library are Young Adult, Graphic Novels, DVDs, and yes, even Non-Fiction!

Joanna Pfaff
I love the close-knit community of the library. Our staff is small, but that allows us to get to know each other and work together better then larger staffs. Our small size also allows us to get to know our patrons more which helps us to best meet their needs.

Lisa Bequillard
As a child my favorite journey was to my local library. Libraries have always been a place of refuge for people. So I have enjoyed serving the community during this challenging time. I love sharing my love of books and learning.

I love working for the Wolcott library as well as being a patron of the library for the last 17 years. I enjoy socializing and helping the patrons of the library, especially when they need assistance in recommending a new movie or TV series to watch. As the Volunteer Coordinator, I enjoy when patrons sign up to support the library with their services.

What I love most about the Library is our patrons. I believe that our patrons are the heart and soul of our library. I love to do reader’s advisory for patrons and working together with staff members to plan our programs. It’s my goal to eliminate Library Anxiety through inclusion efforts. My favorite genres are Fantasy, YA, and some Non-Fiction sections, like 290, 419, 641, and 811.

I knew when I retired from work that I wanted to volunteer at our Library. So in 2014, I started helping out in the children’s room. I now process the new books, DVD’s and audiobooks we receive along with other miscellaneous jobs that need to be done. I also enjoy working with everyone else here. The convenience of having a local library that has so much to offer patrons in the way of books, movies and programs is priceless.

The Library is a gem in the center of Wolcott. A busy place where you can use a computer, make copies, join programs, volunteer and of course check out books. My favorite part is volunteering. I belong to the Friends of the Library and sort books for our book sale which benefit the Library. A wonderful part of volunteering is working with the friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff.
The Director and Staff are the heart of the Library.

I have always had a love of books. After retiring I thought “Why am I buying books or downloading e-books?” I joined the WPL and now i have an endless supply!! I knew after my initial visit that the WPL was something I wanted to contribute to in whatever small way I could..
